From the Mathareini washing station in Muranga County, this fully washed coffee has a big body, wine-like sweetness and tasting notes of grape juice and red berries. This coffee has been grown by the Thangaini Farmers Cooperative Society, who also grow crops such as bananas, beans, tea, avocados and macadamias, to diversify their crops. The farm is located on the slopes of the Abardares Mountain Range, home to a unique microclimate and fertile loam soil.
